The plants area is pleasantly arranged and fully accessible for wheelchair users. They stock a wide variety of plants including seasonal bedding, hanging baskets, shrubs, roses, an excellent collection of climbers, ornamental and fruit trees. The more common varieties are all their plus some more unusual plants. The plants are all in good condition and will satisfy the most discerning gardeners.
Inside the garden centre they stock everything for the amateur gardener including their own range of compost. The house plant display is attractively presented and they are good value. As far as non-gardening shopping is concerned, they stock a wide range of gifts, bird care and pet items, cards and more. They have recently expanded their range of garden furniture to include indoor furniture.
At Christmas time they devote a large part of the store to seasonal gifts, tees (both real and synthetic), lights and decorations. Father Christmas visits each year (£3.50 per child including a gift) and can be found in his grotto each weekend from late November onwards between 11am to 4pm, booking is not necessary.
Newbridge Nurseries do no have a rewards card / discount scheme. If you want a comparison of garden centres which do click here for our page full of information on the various discounts available at other garden centres.
They serve breakfasts, main meal lunches alongside a range of snack meals, cakes and drinks. The decor is unusual for a garden centre cafe, high oak beams and seating which is very well spaced out. The have a well set into the floor with a glass viewing panel. They have a selection of magazines and papers to read if you are visiting by yourself.
All in all, if you fancy some slightly different, top quality food, this cafe will suit you well. If price is important to you however, we would suggest this is not the garden centre cafe for you. There are inside and outside seating areas.
This restaurant was awarded five stars for food hygiene in November 2013 by Horsham District Council. Click here for the full report.
