All paths are solid surface and the plants are attractively displayed. In common with most garden centres all the plants are bought in from outside suppliers but the quality is high and they look well cared for.
The inside area is large compared to the plants area and sells all you would expect from a major garden centre. The garden furniture displays are particularly comprehensive and attractive although some of the prices are not cheap. They have a particularly wide choice of Alexander Rose garden furniture, see also our garden furniture article here for more details on Alexander Rose furniture.
The Food Hall makes a good attempt at sourcing many ingredients locally including wines and beers. Cheese, meats, fish and lots of deli items are also for sale. Throughout the store there are books, cards, clothes, indoor furniture and giftware for sale. We were very surprised at the indoor and outdoor games section, an amazingly large number of different types for sale.
The cafe appears a bit overcrowded as far as table and chairs are concerned but it has been recently refurbished and it looks modern and clean. They serve snacks, cakes, main meals and a choice of hot and cold drinks including wines and beers.
The cafe was awarded the top five star rating in November 2012 for food hygiene by the Food Standards Agency.
Other garden centres nearby in the Sussex area include Blackbrooks Garden Centre in Battle and Haskins Roundstone Garden Centre in Angmering.
