Newent Plant Centre is very close to two larger garden centres, the 3 Shires Garden Centre and Roses Country Fayre, so competition in the area is intense. The business at Newent Plant Centre is almost exclusively concentrated on plants, however they do have a small shop selling many of the gardening basics. The plants area is split into two, an outside area and a large covered polytunnel. They sell a good range of ornamental and fruit trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, roses and alpines so more than likely you will find what you want at this plant centre. They specialise in a couple of areas and have won several awards in the last three years. Heucheras and Euphorbias are two of their specialist areas. The range of these two plants is impressive, and this is place to visit if you want either of them. Bedding plants and hanging baskets are the other specialist area - they have masses of them in season and the display when they are in flower is magnificent. They grow many of their own plants so you can be assured of the quality and also sure that they will grow in your garden. The plants area is not your average rows of plants in long lines. At Newent Plant centre they arrange the plants in themed areas so that you can easily imagine how they will look in your garden. In December they start to stock up on quality Christmas trees - the choice is very large. Newent Plant Centre try very hard to define their business not only by selling quality plants but also by a high level of customer service.
