CAFE REVIEW
We only paid a fleeting visit to the cafe at Griffins so we can't
claim to have completed a full review of the cafe. but what we saw
and tasted was impressive. Firstly let us mention the outside
seating area, it overlooked a river backed by green grass hills -
one of the most attractive views from a garden centre cafe we have
ever encountered. It's worth a visit just to have coffee and cakes
on the balcony in good weather. Click the "video" link at the top of
this page for a better idea.
Food choice consisted of sandwiches, baguettes, tortilla wraps,
breakfast menu, cakes teas and coffees. The interior of the cafe is
very attractive with large windows to three sides giving the whole
cafe an airy and relaxed atmosphere. The tables and chairs were of
chunky solid wood, exposed wooden beams added to the interest.
We sampled tea, coffee and a couple of cakes. They were delicious
and tasted home made. Full marks!
