Lodge Lane Nursery is on the same site as Bluebell Cottage Gardens, both are well worth a visit. The nursery specialises in home grown herbaceous plants (approximately 1,500 different varieties), however they also have a good choice of clematis, honeysuckle, grasses, bamboos and shrubs. Many of the plants they sell can be seen growing naturally in the gardens. The gardens and nursery are open from mid Spring (Wednesday to Sunday) through to mid autumn. The gardens cost £3.50 for adults (children and RHS members free). They also have a coffee shop on site selling snacks, cakes, coffees, teas and other drinks. If you want a garden redesign, partial or complete, then Lodge Lane Nurseries are an ideal one stop resource. They supply the plants and arrange the redesign with their chosen garden designers.
Much of the nursery and gardens are accessible to wheelchair users. Grass and gravel surfaces are best visited in dry weather for ease of pushing a wheelchair. Groups are welcome and Sue and Dave will tailor a package for you including a guided tour with cakes and tea / coffee to finish off.
