Honnor and Jeffrey Afton Garden Centre serves gardeners on the western side of the Isle of Wight. It's a full sized garden centre selling a good range of bedding plants, shrubs and trees. The plants are in good condition and well presented although the layout of the outside area is predictable rather than interesting. The section given over to ornamental and fruit trees is larger than you might expect from a garden centre of this size.

The interior sales area stocks all the commonly needed garden accessories including plant feeds, pesticides, tools, pots and other more specialist items. The houseplants display is very attractive and has a good choice for the indoor gardener. Bird care products are available including not only feeds but feeding stations as well.
Garden furniture is well displayed at the Afton Garden Centre and there is lots to choose from including the well know Alexander Rose range. For heavier items such as garden centre there is island-wide delivery for a very reasonable £5. Also on offer are gifts, cards, barbecues, winter fuels and lots of pots.
Entrance to End of Line cafe, Afton garden centre
The food on offer ranges from a cup of coffee / tea through to main meals including snacks and cakes. All the food is freshly prepared on the premises and is of high quality, well-prepared and attractively presented. The cafe was awarded four stars (out of a possible five) for Food Hygiene in July 2013 by the Isle of Wight Council.
Being on the west side of the Isle of Wight there are no other garden nearby, you really need to look to the centre and east of the island for alternatives.
