CHOOSE GARDEN CENTRES BY COUNTY BELOW
This independent review of Trioscape Garden Centre was written by David Marks and was last updated in November 2025. This is an in depth review by a real human as a result of visiting this garden centre, no Artificial Intelligence is involved! We reviewed the inside and plant sales areas, took pictures (see lower down this article) and checked out the cafe.
Trioscape Garden Centre might not look like it now but it began life in 1994 as a rather dilapidated business. Purchased by Ronan Lynch, Richard Mitchell and Douglas Wilson, initially set up solely as a wholesale nursery, they began work in 2007 to convert part of it into a modern, green-based garden centre.
Eighteen years later and after a £1.5 million redevelopment, the garden centre and nurseries cover 16 acres including 3 acres of covered growing and retailing area plus a brand new restaurant, cafe and food hall.
Because of the contribution the garden centre has made to the local community, some of the building work has been subsidised by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
The whole operation is very environmentally friendly with over a million litres of water collected each year, heating courtesy of a biomass boiler using locally sourced wood chip. Specially designed windows let the maximum of light enter many parts of the buildings. Solar panels are used extensively to generate electricity for the garden centre but also to feed back to the grid.
Trioscape Garden Centre are only partially dog friendly. I quote what they say about their dog policy "we are a dog friendly garden centre with the exception of the restaurant and food hall (dogs are welcome in the outside seating area)".

Although the building is modern, many of the plants are traditionally grown on site in the attached nursery, a claim that fewer and fewer garden centres can make nowadays. A full range of shrubs, bedding plants, trees and other plants are sold at Trioscape.
Inside they sell all those garden necessities plus garden furniture, cards, gifts, barbecues etc. There is a modern cafe, food hall.
