Thatcham Garden Centre was formerly owned by Country Gardens and was bought by Wyevale Garden Centres in 2011. This is a medium to large sized garden centre selling a good choice of plants. Hardy plants come with a five year hardy plant guarantee.
Inside they sell cards, gifts, gardening feeds / tools / pesticides, garden furniture, barbecues and lots more. At Christmas they take great pride in their decorations and Santa pays a visit but does not have a fixed grotto.
The garden centre cafe is pleasantly airy and serves good home-cooked food at reasonable prices. The Food Standards Agency have awarded them five stars out of five in August 2010, the top rating.
