THE PLANTS

Many of the plants and shrubs are still grown in their own nurseries ensuring not only top quality but also competitive prices. They sell a good range of plants, shrubs, trees, fruit and and especially good choice of bedding plants. The main plants area is partially covered so shopping on rainy days is made easier.

INTERIOR SALES

Inside they stock an excellent choice of garden accessories including composts, plant feeds, pesticides and more. They also have a large range of bird goods, tables, everything for the bird lover. Maidenhead Aquatics have a large store just to one side of the garden centre which stock everything for the aquatics enthusiast including live fish.

At all times of the year they stock a good range of gifts, books, cards, deli food items, barbecues, garden furniture etc. This is a medium to largish garden centre and at Christmas they have a Santa's grotto plus lots of trees, lights and Christmas decorations.

THE CAFE AT ST JOHN'S GARDEN CENTRE

The cafe serves a full range of food from main meals to a cup of coffee. Breakfast is served in the morning with a large portion costing only £4.99. The choice of sandwiches is a speciality of this cafe with lots of fresh ingredients. Cakes, coffees, and lots of cakes are also on offer.

There are indoor and outdoor seating areas at St John's cafe with the indoor seating overlooking Jungleland with all the exotic plants. The cafe was given the top 5 star rating by the Food Standards Agency inspection in November 2010.
