Shanes Nursery has been in the same family from 1985 and the nursery dates back to the end of World War II. The land was rented out to ex-service men by the local council to permit them to grow their own food.
The nursery concentrates on bedding plants such as geraniums, fuchsias, petunias etc for spring, summer and autumn planting. They grow over 140,00 plant boxes each year using traditional methods.

The plants area is rustic and attractive and the bedding plants provide lots of colour throughout much of the year. Healthy plants at very cheap prices are the main distinguishing feature of this nursery. Because the plants are grown on site, feel free to ask them any questions and you can be assured they will do their best to assist you.

There is limited parking at Shanes Nursery but when these are used up people park on the grass verge.
