Rushton's Nurseries and Garden Centre began life over 60 years ago and 40 years ago moved to its current location. This is a true family run business with none of the trappings (cafe excluded) of a modern garden centre.
First impressions are of a large flat area with long rows of mainly bedding plants laid out on the floor. Remember though that is a working nursery and most of the plants are grown on site. This is basically a plants nursery in a farm setting. They are of good quality and will certainly have been hardened off correctly ensuring they will grow well in your garden.
They concentrate on plant quality and providing a personal service to their many returning customers. Prices are on the low side and represent excellent value for money. One of their specialities is hanging baskets and there are lots of them to be found on this very large site.
Other garden centres nearby in the Liverpool area include Buckels Garden Centre in Fazakerley, Hartleys Nurseries in Lydiate and Lady Green Garden Centre in Ince Blundell.
