Riverview Garden Centre is slightly unusual because it is run by two families who alternate responsibility for the running of the garden centre. This is a very small outlet about the size of a backyard.
It is on the same site as Hydrohobby, an excellent hydroponics shop. There is also a small cafe and a Farm Shop.

 

Calling this a "garden centre" is rather an exaggeration! There is a small outdoor area to the rear of the Farm Shop which has some bedding plants and a few haphazardly laid out shrubs. The small amount of bedding plants may be enough choice for some but the other plants are too few to make a realistic shopping experience. 

Click the above picture to enlarge it and you are looking at the vast majority of the plants for sale at this garden centre. When we visited we were the only customers in the garden centre.

The Farm Shop is newly acquired an they stock locally grown fruit, veg, freshly cooked bread and various other deli items. The plan is to buy some chickens and sell freshly laid eggs.

There is also a gift shop which is mainly stocked with locally produced gift items. The owners are very keen to provide a personal service to their customers so feel free to ask away at Riverview Garden Centre if you have any questions at all.
