Notcutts at Oxford gained some seriously adverse publicity in December 2012 when their Santa Claus was sacked in the middle of the run up to Christmas. He allegedly told one child that he was not really Father Christmas and allegedly made some overtly political remarks. More about this story can be found here. If you read the article it becomes clear that on the same day the child's mother made further criticisms about a restaurant not far away - the comments at the end of the story are interesting to say the least.
