SIZE: There are two eating areas at Melbicks and both are larger than average.
FOOD TYPE: The Parlour restaurant serves everything from a bowl of soup to a full blown meal / breakfast. The slightly smaller Patisserie serves cakes, teas and coffees.

PLANT SELECTION: 
You will find a large selection of plants at Melbicks and they are
all in good condition. The prices of plants at Melbicks Garden Centre are slightly higher
compared to other garden centres in the area.

All hardy plants come with a life time guarantee.
LAYOUT:
There is a large area set aside for plants at Melbicks Garden Centre
in Birmingham. It is pleasantly laid out area and in many places the
design is not simply a set of regimented rows. All the paths are
wide, free from obstruction and on level ground. The covered area,
about 15% of the whole, houses tender plants with the remaining area
devoted to more hardy plants.

The plant signs are large enough to guide you round the area and locate the plants you want quickly. To one side of this garden centre there is a display area for greenhouses and other garden buildings. The range on offer is extensive but on the expensive side.

Plant prices are slightly higher than average.
SIZE: The non-gardening sales area at Melbicks is huge for a garden centre. Clearly this is this most profitable area for this garden centre.

LAYOUT:
Several areas are set aside for clothing, there are lots of cards and gift wrap,
a huge amount of gifts and similar items. The food hall is particularly large
and impressive.
An unusually large part of the interior sales area is dedicated to children's toyshop.

There is a good Food Hall with lots of jams, cheeses, meats, wines and similar items.

The aquatics centre stocks a full range of fish, tropical temperate and cold water. The range of aquatics products products is particularly impressive. Houseplants feature strongly at Melbicks with a good choice of healthy plants laid out in attractive fashion.

At the side of the main building is a large Pets Corner shop.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
Prices
are slightly above average but at the same time the layout of the store is
excellent. A shopping centre in its own right.
CHRISTMAS AT MELBICKS: Melbicks Garden Centre celebrate Christmas with great style. Lots of seasonal gifts and goodies as well as excellent displays.
