CHOOSE GARDEN CENTRES BY COUNTY BELOW
BACKGROUND: Hillier Garden Centre Hampton-in-Arden has had various names and owners throughout its life. It was purchased by the Wyevale Garden Centres in 2007 as part of its purchase of the Blooms of Bressingham chain of garden centres. At that point it was called Blooms Solihull Garden Centre.
In 2018 Wyevale sold Blooms Solihull Garden Centre to the Rosebourne chain of garden centres for £250,000. On 8th November 2022, Solihull Garden Centre was sold to Hillier Garden Centres and renamed to be Hillier Hampton-in-Arden Garden Centre.
PLANTS AREA: Good selection selection of healthy plants at average prices. Much of the area is covered.

FOOD TYPE: Typical garden centre type food at the Mulberry and Thyme restaurant with breakfasts, lunch main meals, snacks, cakes and drinks. Calories are shown on the menu. No gluten free meals are offered although there are some gluten free cakes available.
FOOD QUALITY:
Above average is our opinion and the meals are well presented.
DECOR:
Above
average decor, well laid out and clean.
OUTDOOR SEATING:
Attractive
outdoor seating area which is covered. Dogs are not allowed in the main
restaurant area but are allowed in the outdoor seating area.

Quick with no queues, pleasant service and everything is served to your table.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
Slightly above average is our opinion considering the decor and the level of
service.
SIZE OF PLANTS AREA: Medium to large.
PLANT SELECTION:
All
the common plants are sold at this garden centre and they are in good condition.
LAYOUT:
Much of
the outside area is covered allowing it be accessed even if raining. The main
paths are paved / concrete with intersecting paths being loose gravel. The
signage is good so plants can be easily located.

LAYOUT:
A
basic layout with little in the way of design flair. It was clean with fairly
wide pathways. Surprisingly it was carpeted which does not bode well for the
future.

ACCESS:
Good, the whole site, inside and out, is level and paths are wide enough for
easy access. The gravel on some of the outside paths may prove to be a problem.
