Kibworth Garden Centre is a family run garden centre / nurseries and the existing owners have been running it from 1984 onwards. That's quite an achievement.
Previous to that it was called Willow Tree Nurseries. The name coming from two willow trees which were growing very nearby. The owners of Willow Tree Nurseries ran it as a going concern from the 1930s onwards. I know this because the current owner I talked with pointed out to me where the willow trees grew and one of the original greenhouses which dates back to the 1930s.
He no longer calls it a greenhouse because, after a couple of decades of repeated repairs, he now refers to it as a "shed-greenhouse"! Well over half of the glass panes have been repaired over the years with wood panels, hence the reference to a shed-greenhouse.

The owners are on site to offer friendly and knowledgeable advice.
IS KIBWORTH GARDEN CENTRE DOG FRIENDLY? Yes, Kibworth Garden Centre is very dog-friendly. We met the owners' dog who was allowed free access all around the site.

PLANT SELECTION: They have a good range of very healthy plants and shrubs which are grown on site. At Christmas they sell an excellent range of real Christmas trees.
As well as the more common shrubs and ornamental trees they specialise in growing herbaceous perennials. If alpines or heathers are on your shopping list then Kibworth Garden Centre has a fine choice of healthy plants to choose from.

VALUE FOR MONEY: Excellent value for money. Those in the know, come to this garden for exactly that reason.
SIZE: Small, they sell composts, garden fertilisers, pesticides, some gardening tools, Calor patio gas, coal etc.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Excellent value for money.
Disabled access is possible although not top class.
