As the name suggests, Evergreen Nurseries specialise in plants but
that's not the whole story. They also stock a large number of shrubs
of all types as well as trees, roses, ferns and bamboos. They are a family run plant nursery and have been selling plants from Evergreen Nurseries for over 27 years. |
This is a working nursery where they grow their own plants. The benefit of this to you is that the plants haven't been trucked in from some anonymous mass producer in Holland. You can be sure that the plants will grow well in your garden because they grow well at Evergreen Nurseries!
Some of the plants are kept out in the open and some are in polytunnels. If you need plants in bulk, maybe for a hedge or for covering a large area then this is the plant nursery to visit first. To give you some idea of the stock on site, they have over 20,000 leylandii - their stock of plants of all types is massive.
Being a nursery many of the plants are laid out on the floor. However the partitioning does neatly group them and wandering around this plant nursery is very pleasant.
If the sheer choice is confusing then simply ask one of the staff on site. They have lots of time to help you locate the correct plants and are very knowledgeable - after all they grow the plants so they know all about them.
