Cherry Lane is the generic name for garden centres owned by the QD Stores Group. Their branch at Potterspury, Towcester is a brand new garden centre which opened in 2012 and is the ninth in the QD chain. We haven't visited them yet but they will follow one of the key QD sayings "big brands, big choice, big savings". So for those of you interested in discount prices this sounds like a good garden centre to investigate further.

Clearly as a garden centre they stock plants and gardening accessories but they also sell garden furniture, clothes, gifts, books, pet feeds and accessories plus a bird care section. They also have a Cook Shop.

WELLINGTON'S CAFE AT CHERRY LANE, POTTERSPURY

The name Wellington's Cafe and Bistro is used throughout all the Cherry Lane garden centres and their aim is to appeal to a younger audience compared to traditional garden centres. The recent refit of the cafe in 2013 cost £90,000 which is a reasonably modest amount compared to many other garden centre cafe refurbishments.

It has 110 seats inside and a further 60 outside. They serves breakfasts, lunch and a range of snack meals, coffees and teas. As far as food hygiene is concerned, it is rated as five star West Northamptonshire in October 2024 - see here for more details.
