PLANTS AT AYLETT NURSERIES

SIZE: Very large

PLANT SELECTION: A very large choice of plants, shrubs and trees, if you can't find what you want here then it must indeed be rare. The display and choice of bedding plants, hanging baskets and plants from April to June is an event in itself, truly impressive. They also specialise in dahlias and are well renowned for this. All plants look to be in excellent condition.

LAYOUT: Lacks any real finesse but very functional. The signs and layout are very practical and easy to find particular plants

VALUE FOR MONEY: Slightly better than average.

INTERIOR SALES AT AYLETT NURSERIES

SIZE: Very large, includes most shopping areas you would expect from a large garden centre. The indoor and outdoor furniture area is extremely large and inspirational. Exceptionally large and well-stocked house plants department. A wide choice of gardening accessories including a very large garden machinery department.

LAYOUT: Very pleasantly laid out. There is a main shopping area with a mall containing several specialist shops.

VALUE FOR MONEY: Slightly above average

DISABLED ACCESS AT AYLETT NURSERIES

ACCESS: Excellent inside and outside. Flat paths with only very minor slopes. Wheelchairs are available at the entrance.

In previous years there has been no Father Christmas for the kids at Aylett Nurseries. They do gear up up for Christmas in October / November though and sell an extensive range of Christmas decorations and gifts. The store is decorated in a festive manner with lots of lights.

Synthetic Christmas trees are in abundance but the real star of the show is the extensive range of real trees of all varieties and sizes.
