Reigate Garden Centre is openly aimed at those who want to buy garden and indoor furniture, garden buildings and lawnmowers / grass maintenance machines. Plants take a most definite secondary position. Their website makes this very clear with little mention of the plants area and the following opening statement on their About Us page "The garden centre has developed and grown into a business which specialises in high quality garden furniture, garden machinery and garden buildings. We are probably the largest independent retailer of garden furniture in the South East."
They do have a medium sized plants area with all of them being bought form external suppliers. The area is hard paved with good access around most parts. The plants are in good condition and the selection is about average. There is nothing to distinguish it though and we would suggest that other garden centres and nurseries in the area offer better value and more inspiration where plants are concerned. One we can recommend nearby for quality plants and a history dating back to 1865 is Buckland Nurseries.
The inside sales area of Reigate Garden Centre is the core of their business with a very large furniture department. They also stock lots of good quality Weber barbecues. Gifts, cards, books, clothes and other non-gardening items are also sold. If lawnmowers and other gardening machines are on your shopping list then you will find an excellent choice at this garden centre.
Garden buildings are another speciality of this garden centre with more than 50 attractively displayed. They sell well known makes such as Woodlands, Halls and Albany Sheds. The real choice is much larger however because if you see a design you like they can customise it for you and deliver to your door in a short period of time. The range includes sheds, greenhouses, log cabins and more.
