CHOOSE GARDEN CENTRES BY COUNTY BELOW
This independent review of Charlecote Garden Centre was written by David Marks and was last updated in August 2025.
This is an in depth review by a real human as a result of visiting this garden centre, no Artificial Intelligence is involved!
We reviewed the inside and plant sales areas, took pictures (see lower down this article) and checked out the cafe. The cafe check involved ordering and tasting the food and reporting our findings for you to judge.

Centre
SIZE: Large. Over the last few years the cafe area has expanded significantly. It has two indoor seating areas and an outdoor seating area.
FOOD TYPE: Standard selection for a garden centre cafe although the menu offers more choice compared to many other garden centres.
FOOD QUALITY: Food quality is above average with decent sized portions. We sampled the Loaded Brunch Omelette and the Scampi and Chips. The food is tasty, hot and well presented.
DECOR: Both the cafe and the restaurant are very pleasantly decorated and clean.

OUTDOOR SEATING: The outdoor seating area is attractive and comfortable.
SERVICE: Service is pleasant and prompt. All service (drinks and snacks excluded) is to your table. You note your chosen table number and then place your order.
There is minimal wait to place your order and we waited a reasonable 15 minutes on a Saturday Bank Holiday weekend for two hot meals to be delivered to our table.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Prices are very reasonable, we recommend this cafe highly.

SIZE OF PLANTS AREA: Medium sized although they pack lots of plants into the area.
PLANT SELECTION: You will find most plants at this garden centre. The plants look to be very healthy.
LAYOUT: The area is attractively designed. It is in two halves and it is a pleasant wander round. Surfaces are flat and solid with paths wide enough for wheelchair access in almost all places. A good portion of the plants area is covered. This is a good rainy day garden centre.
For a medium sized garden centre they stock a large range of garden furniture.

VALUE FOR MONEY: The plants are slightly cheaper than average at this garden centre. For example they sell some roses for only £9.99.
SIZE: Medium sized but they have fitted in most garden accessories.
LAYOUT: It's all on one level with no stairs. Half carpeted and half paved. A pleasant, well kept and interesting area.
VALUE FOR MONEY: Average
ACCESS: Good throughout.
FACILITIES: They have a mobility centre (housed separately) with a fair selection of wheel chairs both motorised and manual.
The flat and hard surfaced car park is right outside the garden centre. The car park area has recently been expanded to include an "overflow" car park area which is nearer the garden centre entrance compared to some areas of the main car park.
Just continue down to the end of the main car park and you will see a sign for the overflow car park which will have lots of empty spaces.
