BEESLEYS GARDEN CENTRE CEASED TRADING IN 2017
Beesleys Garden Centre,
Beesleys Garden Centre have been in business, run by the Beesley family, for over 60 years, they originally started their business in 1952. Many of the plants they sell have been grown in their own plants nursery. The range is comprehensive including shrubs, roses, trees, bedding plants and more.
One of their many specialist areas is primroses. From February onwards you can visit what they have named the Primrose Walk in the nursery. Massed primroses in the polytunnels provide an impressive spectacle. They are also well know for their hanging baskets and indeed, they have the largest hanging basket in the West Midlands. It is 15 feet wide and weighs five tons, in other words it's massive! Planting of the basket takes place each year in early summer.
Another feature of this garden centre is the Millennium Garden which is open to the public all year round. This garden is immaculately kept and is sure to give you plenty of planting ideas. It can be viewed for free.
The interior shop sells a variety of gardening accessories at competitive prices. Gardeners will find most of their needs here. The floristry department supplies a choice of flower arrangements for all occasions and is complimented by an excellent display of houseplants.
They currently have no club / reward membership scheme at this garden centre.
The Gardeners Rest tearoom at Beesleys serves drinks, cakes, cream teas and snack meals. Attractively decorated in cottage style, this is a delightful place for a bite to eat after browsing the garden centre. They were awarded a four star food hygiene rating in October 2013 by North West Leicestershire District Council. Click here for the full report.
