Weaver Vale is one of 22 garden centres in the Klondyke Group which operates in Wales, Northern England and Scotland
Klondyke acquired the garden centre in 2007 from Garden Centres of Cheshire. In a multi-million pound deal They acquired not only Weaver Vale Garden Centre but also Astbury Meadow, Wilmslow (destroyed by fire in 2011 then reopened in 2012) and Sycamore Park garden centres in Cheshire.

Cafe Rating:
DOG FRIENDLY? Weaver Vale Garden Centre is dog friendly. They allow in the main garden centre area, but not in the indoor Coffee Shop. Dogs are allowed in the external seating area attached and a side gate gives access this area. If you ask a member of staff they will show you how to access this area, through the gate.

FOOD TYPE: The main cafe serves typical garden centre food with everything from coffees / teas, cakes, breakfasts to main and snack meals.
FOOD QUALITY:
We tasted a sausage bap and Americano coffee. Both were good.

DECOR:
A basic interior to the cafe with plastic furnishings. The tables, chairs and
carpet are all very clean.

OUTDOOR SEATING:
There is an attractive outdoor seating area for the cafe.
SERVICE:
The queuing for food ordering took about 10 minutes. Coffee / tea / cakes are
collected when you order. All other food is served to your table. Service is
prompt and courteous.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
The
prices are slightly better than normal
SIZE OF PLANTS AREA: This is a good sized garden centre.
PLANT SELECTION:
There is a good choice of plants at this garden centre and you will likely find
what you are looking for. The plants were healthy and in correct pot sizes.
Outside area at Weaver Vale Garden Centre
LAYOUT:
As you walk out of the interior sales space you enter a covered area for more
tender plants. The covering is over an unusually large area for a garden centre
of this size - good new if it is raining.

The layout was good with wide, solid and level paths. Access to all areas is excellent.
VALUE FOR MONEY:
A
good proportion of the roses were priced at £14 and the cheapest clematis we saw
was £16. Overall the prices were marginally cheaper compared to other garden
centres in the area.
SIZE: Medium to large
LAYOUT:
Good access around all of the interior sales area. It sells all the typical
garden centre goods that you would expect. There as a particularly good
selection of indoor plants and garden furniture. They stock lots of home ware
and you will also find a good choice of gardening accessories.
Although the area was tidy and clean, it's clear that they suffer significantly with leaks from the roof. On rainy days you need to be careful where you walk if you don't want the ceiling dripping water on you.
