Van Hage in Ware is a large, up market garden centre and
they take full advantage of this at Christmas. A large part
of the store is transformed into a wonderland at Christmas
which is good for children and adults. Expect stunning
large displays, some of them mechanised. It's all done in a
rather tongue in cheek manner but is really does capture the
magic of Christmas. Expect their normal high prices though
and be careful not to get carried away. |
CHRISTMAS TREES
Both synthetic and real Christmas trees are on sale at Van Hage for
about six weeks prior to Christmas. The real ones are excellent,
good shape, good condition and well packaged to get them in the car.
The synthetic trees are a spectacle in themselves. All shapes,
sizes, colours and textures and extremely well decorated.
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
Van Hage really do stick to the pricier decorations at this time of
year. If you want a bargain it won't be found before Christmas but
the sale later can give some real bargains
FATHER CHRISTMAS
He's here at Van Hage in Ware in a big way. The kids will love the
grotto. As soon as 2014 prices are known we will post them here.
Santa will be at this garden centre from late November onwards.
SKATING AT GREAT AMWELL A real ice skating rink
with skates hire starts on mid November 2014. Click
here for more details.
PRICES
Prices can be summed up in one word, high. But it's still fun to
browse, enjoy the spectacle and maybe spend a few pounds. But if you
want to buy something major like a synthetic Christmas tree then
save your money and buy it cheaper elsewhere.
