Having wandered around this garden centre we were stuck by the small percentage of space given over the plants area, a lot smaller than most of the garden centres we have visited. The bought in plants are in good condition and reasonably well displayed. Hardy shrubs are covered by a five year guarantee. Around the outdoor area you will also find a range of garden sheds, greenhouses, fencing and paving.

The interior sales area is particularly large for a garden centre of this overall size. like many larger garden centres, Twenty Pence not only stock garden accessories but also garden furniture, clothes, books, cards and lots of gift items. They have a good choice of feeds and accessories for feeding your garden birds

THE CAFE AT THE TWENTY PENCE GARDEN CENTRE

The Applejacks Cafe has two main areas, one for coffees and light snacks, the other for more substantial meals. Both are light and airy spaces with good quality furniture to give the area a pleasant feel. The outdoor seated area overlooks the plant displays and is also a good place to relax.

Main meals are displayed on the hot counter and the cooking area is open to view. As well as main meals. snacks, teas and coffees are served throughout the day. The cafe can seat up to 200 people. It has the top 5 star rating from the Food Standards Agency which is impressive and reassuring.
