Trioscape Garden Centre might not look like it now but it began life in 1994 as a totally run down business, purchased by Ronan Lynch, Richard Mitchell and Douglas Wilson. Initially set up solely as a wholesale nursery, they began work in 2007 to convert part of it into a modern, green-based garden centre.
Because of the contribution the garden centre has made to the local community, some of the building work has been subsidised by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
The whole operation is very environmentally friendly with over a million litres of water collected each year, heating courtesy of a biomass boiler using locally sourced wood chip. Specially designed windows let the maximum of light enter many parts of the buildings.
Although the building is modern, many of the plants are traditionally grown on site in the attached nursery, a claim that fewer and fewer garden centres can make nowadays. A full range of shrubs, bedding plants, trees and other plants are sold at Trioscape.
Inside they sell all those garden necessities plus garden furniture, cards, gifts, barbecues etc. There is a modern cafe, food hall.
They currently have no club / reward membership scheme at this garden centre. Click here if you want to see a comparison of garden garden centres which do have reward / discount cards.
Other garden centres in the nearby area include Chamberlain Nurseries, 3 Shire Garden Centre and Newent Plant Centre.
