Springbank Nursery and Garden Centre has bee trading on the current site for over forty years and was previously owned by Ken and Margaret Hall. In January 2013 they retired and let out the business to Mr and Mrs Hollis with Andy Wade as the nursery and garden centre manager. The nursery now has a new lease of life injected into it whilst at the same time retaining the staff who have been employed by the business for the past 20 years.

The plants area stocks a full range of seasonal bedding plants, shrubs, herbaceous plants, ornamental and fruit trees. Much of the stock is home and locally grown. One of their specialities is South African bulbs, Nerines in particular. The nursery previously held the National Collection of Nerine sarniensis but this has now been moved over to the South of England.
Plants are attractively displayed in an area with a paved and hard gravel surface. It's spacious and easy to wander round. As well as "normal" plants you will also find several more exotic ones. A good mixture of the tried and trusted varieties mixed in with others that are not so well known.
This is a traditional nursery run on traditional values with first hand expert advice always freely available. Prices are also important and this nursery certainly offers better value when compared to the larger garden centres. As well as plants they also have a shop which stocks the basic gardening accessories, composts and sells local produce which is in season.
