Seasons Garden Centre is located in Burton Latimer which is less than a mile from junction 10 of the A14. They have 12 retail outlets in the UK, mainly in the Midlands. Two of them are garden centres and the remaining 10 are DIY stores. They all operate on the basic principle of undercutting the larger stores and their garden centres are no different. They are a family run business which dates back to the 1930s.
The plants area of the garden centre is well kept and the surface is mainly laid with concrete slabs. They stock a good range of plants at prices which are generally cheaper than the competition. They stock all the plants you would expect, shrubs, perennials, ornamental and fruit trees and a delightful display of value-for-money bedding plants and hanging baskets in season.
The interior sales area is plainly set out but has everything you would expect of a medium to large garden centre including plenty of gift ideas, a good pet centre (no live pets) and a very well stocked garden tools and machinery section. There is a well laid section for barbecues and garden furniture especially cane and pine furniture. At Christmas they sell decorations, real and synthetic trees and other seasonal goods all at prices slightly lower than the competition.
The cafe was awarded a five star rating for food hygiene in July 2013 by Kettering Borough Council. Click here for the full report.
