The Red Road Fuchsia nursery is on the same site as the Red Road Nursery and the adjoining pick-your-own fruit and veg site. As the name implies , Red Road Fuchsias specialise in fuchsias and their claim to fame is that they stock 110 different fuchsia varieties.
They began business very early in 2014 and are the top fuchsia nursery for many miles around. The site is small with two long polytunnels but they have packed in masses of different varieties. They sell all the different forms of fuchsia from half standards, whips, bush and trailing varieties. We visited them in late May and were very impressed with how clean and disease free the plants were. Describing them as in pristine condition would be an understatement.
We took a trip round the plants accompanied by one of the owners and the pride they take in their plants is plain to see. Whilst walking round and chatting about the plants he was unable to stop himself pinching off a bloom past its best or a leaf that was not perfect! A sure sign of a plantsman who loves his trade. Personal service is assured at Red Road Fuchsias, and they are more than happy to recommend varieties and forms which will suit your requirements.
If you are looking to buy fuchsias then we recommend them very highly. We walked away with a Pink Fantasia half standard and can assure you we very rarely buy from the garden centres and nurseries we visit. The highest recommendation we can give.
