PLANTS AND PRODUCTS

Palmers Garden Centre in Enderby don't make it into the top 100 UK garden centres by turnover but they celebrated 100 years in business in 2011. In 1911, founders George and Julia Palmer cultivated their allotment and sold the produce locally. Over the next 100 years the Palmer family have expanded into the garden centre business. They no longer grow their own plants although they strive to maintain a good selection of quality plants in the outside sales area.

Inside, gifts, barbecues, bird feeds and accessories, garden and indoor furniture and lots more are to be found for the keen gardener and non-gardener alike.

CAFE AT PALMERS ENDERBY

The cafe at Palmers, Enderby serves a full range of food from main meal specials to cake and coffee / tea. It is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Saturday and 10.00 to 4.00 on Sundays. Breakfasts are served from 9.30 to 11.30 and hot main meals from 12.00 to 2.00. The cafe was awarded a food hygiene rating of 3 by Blaby District Council in June 2013 - this is rather on the low side for a garden centre of this type, clearly food hygiene is an area that cafe needs to review carefully.
