Mud Island Nurseries is a family run business which began trading in its current form in 1992. Plants are at the centre of this garden centre and indeed they grow many of their own plants on site. Plants are healthy and well displayed. As well as the shop, several parts of the plants area are covered allowing some browsing even in rainy weather.

Many of the plants are displayed on the ground rather than in raised plant bays and the paths are part solid part gravel. A pleasant law runs down the centre of one area giving an open and attractive feel to the area. The interior sales stocks all those essential garden accessories in addition to bird feeds, water features, cards and other times.

THE CAFE AT MUD ISLAND NURSERIES

The cafe serves cold snack foods, coffees, teas and cakes. There is a pleasant indoor seating area plus a large outdoor seating area with views down the nursery.
