CAFE REVIEW FOR BROOKFIELDS GARDEN CENTRE

CAFE DECOR AND SEATING
The cafe is a barely partitioned area from the main garden centre. Very low, ugly metal beams, very out dated lighting and generally poor decoration do not create a good, first impression of this cafe. Plastic tables and chairs are only improved by the small coffee and tea seating area which has more comfortable and attractive furniture.

The cafe is kept clean without doubt and the drab tables and chairs are arranged in the best way possible.

RANGE OF FOOD
This includes soup of the day, jacket potatoes, paninis, freshly cooked pizzas, homemade quiches, lots of baked pastries, salads, sandwiches, baguettes, four daily specials, scones, kids menu, cakes, teas and coffees. Enough to satisfy most tastes. All the food is on display.

FOOD QUALITY
The Brookfields Garden Centre cafe (Cafe B) definitely serves good quality food. the ingredients taste good, the food is hot where appropriate and it is presented well. Our samples tasted good and were particularly impressed with the hot savoury pastries and the quiches.

SERVICE
Service is reasonable, we encountered a queue of about five minutes at lunchtime. Most meals are served to direct with only a few being served to your table.

PRICES
The prices of the food we sampled was good but surprisingly the prices of many dishes are not on display. Strange because this cafe has priced its food very well. The prices of the cakes were outstandingly low.

CONCLUSION
Good quality food which tasted good. The outdated decor is a disappointment as is the lack of clearly marked prices.
