BLOOMS GARDEN CENTRE, RUGBY CAFE REVIEW

RANGE OF FOOD
The selection of food is the normal, good range which is available in many garden centres belonging to Wyevale Garden Centres. They had four main meals to choose from, one of which was vegetarian. Salads, baked potatoes, toasties and other snack meals are also available. Teas, coffees and cakes look good

QUALITY OF FOOD
Food quality is good and consistent. The main meals are home made and tasty. You won't find haute cuisine at this Blooms cafe but you will not be disappointed.

DECOR AND SEATING
The big let down at the Blooms Rugby Garden Centre cafe is the decor. The tables and chairs are very boring plastic, very similar to a school dining room. The general arrangement of the dining area is boring and totally lacking any creative thought. It's all a bit dull and looks in need of a good refresh.

There is also an outdoor seating area which is better on a warm day. Even this area is basic with long cobwebs drooping form the high metal bars of the ceiling. By all means visit this cafe for good food or a tea / coffee but definitely not for the surroundings.

SERVICE
The service is pleasant and prompt with only small queues at peak times. Some of the hot meals are served to your table.

THE PRICES
Main meals are in the range 7 to 8, soup and sandwich 6.95, jacket potatoes 4 to 6, sandwiches about 4, breakfasts are served from 9 to 11.30

The cafe was awarded a five star food hygiene rating by Rugby Borough Council in March 2013.

CONCLUSION
The cafe serves good food at reasonable prices but is let down by the cheap and drab decor.
